Whether you’re an existing dancer at Arthur Murray or a new student, you can take advantage of all the benefits that a private lesson has to offer. Many of our students like to mix in a few private lessons to supplement what they’re learning in the group classes. This gives them an opportunity to meet with and learn from other dancers, as well as to get the personalized instruction they need.

During private lessons, a dancer, or a duo, gets to work one-on-one with an Arthur Murray instructor. Our instructors have extensive backgrounds in many different styles of dance, from ballroom and Latin to swing and Country Western. They can help beginners learn the fundamentals of dance, help experienced dancers take their skills to the next level and even help couples prepare for their upcoming wedding day.

Because dancers get the instructor’s undivided attention during a private lesson, they can ask questions whenever they want to and correct any bad habits early on. This makes it easier and faster to learn. Plus, the instructor will keep an up-to-date record of what you’ve worked on so far, so that you can pick up where you left off at your next private lesson.
